Sodium gluconatecan be used as water reducing agent and retarder in the building industry. It can proceed to accelerate the setting of concrete with the increase of its doses. In addition, the promoting of sodium gluconateadded with the super plasticizers into HPC can highly improves the strength of concrete. The appropriate doses is 0.03% -0.07% of cement. When the doses is more than 0.1%, strength can not improve due the retard gravely.
